Founder & Owner-Operator · Strategy Labs AI

Daniel Ramirez.

I build companies, then build the software they run on.

The arc

Operator Builder Owner

Nine years running a $30M-a-year solar company — exited. Fourteen months building BriteBuild, the software that runs that industry, solo — sold. Now I run Strategy Labs AI, shipping AI-native systems for clients, with a golf app in TestFlight beta on the side.

arc

One career, three chapters.

Ran the company. Built the software it needed. Sold that too. Now I do it for clients.

  1. 01 / Operator 2015 — 2024

    Ran the company

Co-founded Gold Rush Energy Solutions and ran it as COO for nine years. $30M+ peak annual revenue, a 70-rep sales org built from zero, 40 MW installed, $130M in lifetime sales. Taught myself to code by building the tools we needed. Exited in 2024.

    $130M lifetime sales
  2. 02 / Builder 2025 — 2026

    Built the software

Created BriteBuild — a multi-tenant platform for the solar industry: CRM, design, pricing, financing, contracts, scheduling. Built it solo in fourteen months, from a thin calculator to the system EPCs run on. Sold it to ShimmerWorks Inc.

  3. 03 / Owner 2024 →

    Runs the firm

Founded Strategy Labs AI the same year I exited — BriteBuild was its first engagement. I design and ship AI-native systems for clients: agent orchestration, on-prem inference, full-stack builds, Claude Code in the loop daily. Breakfast Ball, a native iOS + watchOS golf app, ships on the side.

stack

The tools, ordered by how often I touch them.

Categorized by era. The operator-era tools earned their place — a decade with them — but the new stack is what I reach for first.

Daily practice, not a bullet point — 2.59B tokens through the loop in 2025 alone.

  • Custom agent harnesses
  • Custom Claude Code skills

The rest of the life that makes the work possible.

The Sierra foothills aren't a backdrop. They're the operating environment.
